After hours of hard work, we have finally completed our development of the Chiropractic School Survey. By listening to our users, we developed a questionnaire that attempts to cover most of the major criteria that prospective students use to decide which Chiropractic School is the best fit for their needs. There is nothing like this on the internet for prospective students to do proper research when deciding between schools. This report supports our mission of Chiropractic Consumer Advocacy, and we think that future users will benefit greatly from it.
You can check our Chiropractic Schools page to see if the survey has been completed by the school you are interested in. If you don’t see anything in their individual listing, then they have not responded to our survey yet. In such a case, we recommend that you contact the school and let them know you are interested in seeing their information on ChiroHub. At the school’s request, we can resend them the survey at any time.
Do you want to see which criteria were included in the survey? Check out the long list below, and please feel free to Contact Us with any suggestions you have for additional information.
We’ve all heard the stories of the recent Chiropractic Graduate that goes and gets a job as an Associate, but only to be forced into slave labor by another Chiropractor. Some of us have even been on the receiving end of this deal. It’s not a pleasant experience, but it typifies the cannibalistic Chiropractors that exist out there.
We want graduates to understand that this DOES NOT apply to all Chiropractic Associateships. There are many wonderful Chiropractors out there that will spend quality time with you to help you learn the details of running your own practice, but this article is not about them. It’s about the few who take advantage of new grads and work them until their knuckles bleed. No vacation time, long hours, low pay, loads of extra work, countless off-site presentations - these are some of the signs and symptoms of a bad situation.
This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t be working hard to earn your place in the office. You certainly need to take an active role in helping to build the practice, but you should never feel like you are being taken advantage of or over-worked (without proper compensation).
Until now, there hasn’t really been any kind of accountability for these Chiropractors. ChiroHub has built a directory that should contain every licensed DC in the US (over 70,000 listings)! If you, or anyone you know, has had experience working as an Associate for a Chiropractor, we highly recommend you take the time to visit our Chiropractic Directory and write a detailed review about the doctor you worked for. This kind of public feedback will allow future grads to read about a DC before they sign up to work as an Associate under him/her. Together we can make a safer, more enjoyable work place for all Chiropractors.
As both Health Care Providers and business owners, Chiropractors are faced with unique challenges in the legal world. It’s very important to remain in compliance with your state and federal laws, because one mistake could cost you your practice. We all know how expensive legal advice can be, but there is a way to get through that cost barrier, so that you don’t jeopardize your practice. Trying to save some money by cutting legal corners will certainly not pay off in the long run.
Since one of our primary goals is to get user interaction on our site, we want to encourage this by offering your first year of an Enhanced Listing Upgrade for FREE when you help improve ChiroHub. This is a $29.99 value, and it is a great way to help make your listing stand out from the competition. An Enhanced Listing includes all of the following:
1) One full-color image of you or your practice
2) A full description of your practice (max 250 words; subject to approval)
3) A direct link from ChiroHub to your clinic’s website
In order to qualify for this FREE Enhanced Listing, you only need to earn a total of 3 ChiroHub Points. These points can be earned in several ways:
A) Place a link from your site to ChiroHub = 1 point
B) Write a review in our Chiropractic Product Reviews section = 1 point for each review. [These reviews must be at least 100 words, and you must have had real experience with the product or service about which you are writing.]
C) Mention ChiroHub in a post and put a link to our Home page on your State Chiropractor’s List Serve discussion forum. = 2 points
D) Submit an article to the ChiroHub Blog = 3 points [Your article must be at least 500 words in length (this is only the body text). You must cite all of your sources, and we require a minimum of two citations per article. The topic of your article must be PRE-approved by our staff. We try to be very fair and open minded about the content, but we do require this as part of the submission process. If you have already developed articles to give out to your patients, then this is a quick way to leverage those articles for quality advertising.
Example topics might include: headaches, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, sports injuries, pediatric care, chiropractic product reviews, marketing strategies, practice building strategies, clinical research, how-to articles, Peer-reviewed Journal submission guidelines, etc… Please email us today with your ideas.]
If you are wondering how to choose a Chiropractor, you have come to the right place. It is this very question that helped inspire this website. There are many rumors flying around about Chiropractic in general, so sometimes it can be hard to find good information about the subject. If you are going to see a Doctor of Chiropractic about your health, then we strongly recommend that you consider the following things first:
#1) What are others saying? This is quite possibly the most important factor in making your decision. Many of the other factors we include don’t really mean much if everyone that goes to this doctor is having a horrible experience. Many Chiropractors have testimonials on their website about their services, but these should all be taken worth a grain of salt. Do you really think he/she would include a negative comment on their website? This is why we are providing our Chiropractic Directory. Not to post negative information about individual practitioners, but to facilitate unbiased feedback about each Chiropractor. Our directory allows patients to come and rate their experience with a Chiropractor. We strongly recommend you check them out before visiting their office.
#2) Credentials - There are many certifications and diplomate programs available to Chiropractors. These often appear as additional initials after the doctor’s name. For example, John Doe, DC DACBR would have a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, as well as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology. This helps you determine if the doctor specializes in any particular kind of care. If you don’t see additional initials, please call the doctor’s office to check. Visit this page for a current list of Chiropractic Diplomate Programs.
#3) Location, Location, Location - Hopefully the Chiropractor already made this an easy decision for you by being located in a convenient area, but this is definitely an important consideration. If you benefit from your visit to the Chiropractor, you will likely want to return, so consider finding someone that is close by. You can search by city in our directory, or just use the search box on the left side of this screen.
#4) Facilities - There are many things to consider about the facilities of a Chiropractor’s office. Do they have an X-ray machine for fast results? Is the place clean and free of allergens? Do they have the treatment modalities (electrical muscle stimulation, ultra sound, cold laser, etc…) that you prefer? Do they have facilities for rehabilitation of sports or work injuries? These are all good questions to ask before your visit. If you can think of other important considerations, please Contact Us today!
The use of a good headline is highly underrated. All of your advertising should include a headline that really grabs the reader. It has been said that, “the headline is an ad for the ad.” This is absolutely true. If you don’t have a good headline, then how can you expect people to read the rest of the ad?
So, how do you create a good headline? The first thing we recommend you do is start a file for ALL the good headlines you find. It doesn’t matter if the ad comes from another industry. What matters is that you felt something draw you in when you read it. If that is the case, then rip it out, or write it down, and save it in your folder of Great Headlines.
Any good headline should identify the target audience in one way or another. If you are talking to pregnant women, say it! If you want to target construction workers, say that!
You will also want to use some proven words in your headline - Free, New, Because, Now, Guaranteed, etc… Remember, the point of the headline is to get the readers attention - nothing else.
