One of our main missions here at ChiroHub is to be a consumer advocate. The consumer may be patients, or it may be chiropractors themselves. Either way, we want users to be able to see what is available to them in the chiropractic industry and to learn from what others are saying. Please keep in mind that we are NOT trying to resell your product as a distributor, rather we want to be an unbiased source for consumer research. So, if you're a manufacturer or service provider in this growing industry, how can you inform Chiropractors about your products? Here are several suggestions:
1) Get Listed - This is easy and FREE. Make sure that your products are listed in the appropriate category in our Chiropractic Product Reviews section. While you're there, check the descriptions for each of your listings to make sure they are accurate and that they include your current contact info. You can also add an image to any of these listings. Read our recent posting on how an image enhances your listing. You can also use the "search" box in the top right corner of the website, or the "advanced search" option in the left menu to find all of your products listed in ChiroHub.
2) Get Featured - This is an inexpensive way to increase your exposure on ChiroHub. Any featured listing automatically gets placed at the top of the results for any search that is done for words contained in your listing (including your contact info). This is one reason you want to use an accurate and detailed description when submitting information about your products. Featured listings also get to submit a mini press release paragraph that gets published in our "Latest News" section of the Home Page. To learn more about getting featured, please visit our Featured Listing Page.
3) Go Live with Video - Nothing is better than a live demonstration of your product. The next best thing is a video of that demonstration. Most consumers are skeptical of a sales pitch (rightfully so), but hearing from an independent third party removes that bias. We give users an honest introduction to the product using the dynamic medium of video, so this means that we reserve the right to voice our own critique of the product. If you are proud of what you have to offer, then find out how you can Submit a Product for review today!
4) Submit Articles - If you are involved in an esoteric niche market within the chiropractic industry, then you are probably acutely aware of how fragmented the industry has become. How can you educate chiropractors about your niche? How can you help them make informed decisions when comparing their options? We invite articles on these very topics. In order to protect the consumer, your name and company affiliation will be clearly stated with the article, and we reserve the right to refuse publishing any content that is overtly biased or otherwise not aligned with ChiroHub's mission. Examples might include - what to look for when shopping for practice management software, or 10 things to avoid with Practice Management consulting firms. Email us your ideas today!
5) Banner Advertisement - If you are ready to take your brand exposure to the next level, then a Banner Advertisement is a great way to accomplish this. The current banner ads can be seen in the column to your right ---------> You will notice that these same banners appear on EVERY page you visit on ChiroHub. We have almost 100,000 pages, so you get much more than just Home Page exposure. Besides, somebody has to pay for this wonderful website, it might as well be you :) Visit our Advertising Rates page to see what the current prices are.
You can clearly see that there are only a few directories out there that have a substantial amount of Chiropractors listed. Some may argue that a directory with only a few other DC's listed would effectively eliminate the competition. However, you should ask yourself, which directory is the general public (i.e. potential patients) more likely to use? A site that has only a handful of listings for a major city, or a directory that lists every known doctor in the area? Further, when that database offers user feedback and reviews, the public becomes even more informed. We think the decision is clear!
After hours of hard work, we have finally completed our development of the Chiropractic School Survey. By listening to our users, we developed a questionnaire that attempts to cover most of the major criteria that prospective students use to decide which Chiropractic School is the best fit for their needs. There is nothing like this on the internet for prospective students to do proper research when deciding between schools. This report supports our mission of Chiropractic Consumer Advocacy, and we think that future users will benefit greatly from it.
You can check our Chiropractic Schools page to see if the survey has been completed by the school you are interested in. If you don’t see anything in their individual listing, then they have not responded to our survey yet. In such a case, we recommend that you contact the school and let them know you are interested in seeing their information on ChiroHub. At the school’s request, we can resend them the survey at any time.
Do you want to see which criteria were included in the survey? Check out the long list below, and please feel free to Contact Us with any suggestions you have for additional information.
We’ve all heard the stories of the recent Chiropractic Graduate that goes and gets a job as an Associate, but only to be forced into slave labor by another Chiropractor. Some of us have even been on the receiving end of this deal. It’s not a pleasant experience, but it typifies the cannibalistic Chiropractors that exist out there.
We want graduates to understand that this DOES NOT apply to all Chiropractic Associateships. There are many wonderful Chiropractors out there that will spend quality time with you to help you learn the details of running your own practice, but this article is not about them. It’s about the few who take advantage of new grads and work them until their knuckles bleed. No vacation time, long hours, low pay, loads of extra work, countless off-site presentations - these are some of the signs and symptoms of a bad situation.
This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t be working hard to earn your place in the office. You certainly need to take an active role in helping to build the practice, but you should never feel like you are being taken advantage of or over-worked (without proper compensation).
Until now, there hasn’t really been any kind of accountability for these Chiropractors. ChiroHub has built a directory that should contain every licensed DC in the US (over 70,000 listings)! If you, or anyone you know, has had experience working as an Associate for a Chiropractor, we highly recommend you take the time to visit our Chiropractic Directory and write a detailed review about the doctor you worked for. This kind of public feedback will allow future grads to read about a DC before they sign up to work as an Associate under him/her. Together we can make a safer, more enjoyable work place for all Chiropractors.
As both Health Care Providers and business owners, Chiropractors are faced with unique challenges in the legal world. It’s very important to remain in compliance with your state and federal laws, because one mistake could cost you your practice. We all know how expensive legal advice can be, but there is a way to get through that cost barrier, so that you don’t jeopardize your practice. Trying to save some money by cutting legal corners will certainly not pay off in the long run.
